Halloween in the Hood

The kids were out in force for Halloween trick or treating in the neighborhood where Troy lives. There are a lot of ex-pats in this neighborhood, so houses were decorated and children were in costume. If you take the metro to Little India on Halloween, you would find a Deepavali celebration (Festival of Lights) going on at the same time.

And in the neighborhood next door, big Chinese outdoor events happened for Mid-Autumn Festival last month.  However, this was the scene outside Troy's house.
Trick or Treat!!
O.K. this guy was just creepy, the way he appeared to stared at ya'

Only one of these Star War characters is live.  Which one???

Oh this poor Plumeria tree -- looks like the spiders and skeletons got to it!

The black and white bamboo blinds are a characteristic of this neighborhood which used to be housing for British Officers.  The skull on the blinds was a nod to Halloween!

O.M.G.  Isn't he the cutest little fireman????
Is this guy anatomically correct???
Would you take candy from these characters????
Keeping the spirits away???????
Quick, get your phone app, I spy a Pokeman!!
Uh-Oh, see the blood on the car?-- Can't be good!!
After the Halloween fun, we went for a nice relaxing swim at the Queenstown Pool -- a short walk from Troy's house and a good 50 meter length for each lap --  cool and refreshing!
